Vaccination As A Condition Of Deployment Update
A new regulation was passed in January requiring those working in regulated activities and in direct contact with service users to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by 1 April 2022.
The NHS has taken the decision to postpone implementation until we have clarity on the outcome of the Parliamentary process regarding the regulations. It has been announced that there will be two weeks of consultation and a Parliamentary approval process for this decision.
The outcome is, therefore, uncertain at this stage and therefore remains in force. The health and social care sector have been facing a very challenging and worrying time, and that is why we wish to continue to provide you with all the support we can.
We do however still encourage you to get fully vaccinated and take precautions to avoid future delays and uncertainties with regards to VCOD.
Do you still want to get vaccinated and send us proof?
